Just wait until you see what we’ve got for you inside our autumn issue. The cover will give you a bit of a clue – when you see it for the first time we know you will be blown away by it just as we were. It’s by American YouTube sensation Alexys Fleming. She tells us about how she has used social media to create a YouTube channel that now has over 600,000 subscribers.

This issue is packed with exciting articles, images and features to inspire any artist, the highlights include:

• Ashlea Henson. With her online tutorial and her straightforward presenting, Ashlea shares with Illusion a myriad of well-known characters and designs.
• Jinny. We are so excited to have Jinny back in Illusion again. In our interview with her she shares with us her thoughts on the transformation of face and body art over the last few years.
• Hitomi Fukai. We were astonished when we caught up this Japanese painter Hitomi; when she first started painting there wasn’t even a word in Japanese to describe face painting. Be inspired by her delicate gestational painting.
